Dreamy Desert Wedding at Boulders Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona

The bride, Meagan, wanted an ethereal wedding that was romantic, delicate and light. Indeed, that delicate expression would carry through each decor element at her Boulders Resort wedding. Gorgeous flowers, sunlit location and carefully planned details made for a perfect wedding day. Candlelight, mixed metals and an abundance of greens and soft hues created a subtle, yet exquisitely romantic vibe.

Ethereal desert wedding

Meagan’s dream dress had layers of organza, embodying the ethereal look she was after from day one. The bridesmaids wore matching mauve gowns made from layers of organza. Extra layers of organza created a unique neckline for each girl.

Invitations that set the tone

The couple wanted an invitation that set the tone for the whole wedding, so it was important that it conveyed to their guests the natural beauty that awaited them at Boulders Resort and Spa. Celebrations in Paper designed the custom watercolor invitation. Furthermore, a blush RSVP card accented the neutral color palette, adding just the right amount of color. The result was a simple and dreamy invite.

Rooftop reception with greenery

One of my favorite elements of the day was the cocktail bar during the rooftop cocktail reception. Normally a simple stucco bar, The Wildflower AZ dressed it in greens that looked as if they were growing wildly out of the rooftop.

Meagan and Remo were willing enough to climb through the desert and up a mountain ( in rattlesnake country) with their photographer, Steph Wahlig. Worth it! Doesn’t begin to describe the result. I think the takeaway is to work with quality vendors whose work you love and then trust them to make your dream come true.

Carried with grace

Ultimately, working with this couple was a match made in heaven from day one. Meagan and her groom, Remo, chose my coordination and design package. Together, we created a color palette of mauve and creamy whites, accented with stone and gold earth tones. The overall feeling was ethereal, whimsical and gushing with romance. Meagan was a delight to work with — the true definition of BrideChilla. Above all, Remo and Meagan carried themselves so gracefully through their wedding day, just as they had through the entire planning process.
